Early morning set off on a Whale Watching experience. Being one of the richest whale watching hot-spots in the world, Mirissa is home to a resident pod, making it almost a year round activity. The ideal time for whale watching in Mirissa between the months of November to April. While the Blue Whale, the world’s largest mammal takes the top seat, the waters a few kilometers offshore also offer spectacular encounters with fin whales, sperm whales, orcas (killer whales), dolphins, flying fish, turtles, manta rays and whale sharks.
Once you return continue journey to Yala. Take good nap and relax as tomorrow will be another adventurous day in the jungles.
Early morning set off for the morning safari which is the best time to see the birds.
As you slowly proceed along the winding roads of the park you can witness how the nature comes to live with the dawn of sunlight. Remember to keep your camera ready to capture the mesmerizing events that you are about to witness.
Afternoon game drive, the best time to see the wild jumbos who come out with their herds in search of food. Apart from these majestic elephants look out for fine-feathered peacocks and depending on the timing you will also be able to observe the great black bears and agile leopards that shelter in the thick foliage.
It’s time to head home. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
