Itinerary

DAY 1 Colombo | Wilpattu

Be picked up from hotel in Colombo and embark on a 4 ½ hrs journey to Wilpattu.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive at the Wilpattu National Park. It is the largest and oldest National Park in Sri Lanka, famed for undisturbed sightings. Spotted deer, elephant, sloth bear, leopard, water buffalo, Sri Lankan jungle fowl, painted stork, python and cobra are some of the habitants of the park. The natural water pools scattered all over the park which are filled during the rainy season sustain both fauna and flora throughout the year. Ideal time to visit the park is between the months of February and October.

DAY 2 Wilpattu | Minneriaya |Habarana

It’s an early start today. Wake up before the sunrise and head off to the park to witness the nature and wildlife come to live as the dawn breaks.

Return for a delicious breakfast and relax before you set off to Minneriya.

Continue journey to Minneriya National Park.
Take on an adventurous safari ride at the park. If you are visiting during the months of July and August you could witness one of the World’s Largest Wildlife Spectacle – Minneriya Elephant Gathering. As the dry season approaches elephants from the adjoining parks, Kaudulla and Eco Park migrate to Minneriya Park in search of food and for breeding. So don’t miss the opportunity to see the largest Elephant gathering in Sri Lanka.

DAY 3 Habarana | Sigiriya | Colombo

Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is the royal palace of King Kasphyapa, whose desire was to build an impregnable fortress and rule the country. There are about 1200+ steps to reach the summit and once at the top you can get the bird’s eye view of the leafy villages down below.

Depart to Colombo and you will be dropped at the hotel in Colombo.
