You will be picked up from hotel in Gale and transfer to Yala.
Holding the title of the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka, being home to a wide number of species, Yala has gained its popularity through songs, poems, stories written about its wide variety of wildlife and vegetation.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive at the park. Spotting large herds of elephants as they waddle towards the water ponds, or finding a leopard lazily basking on a rock underneath the hot sun, coming through a water buffalo soaked in water with only its head up, are scenes that you wouldn’t miss in any day at the park.
Head off for an early morning safari at the Yala National. Covering an area of 979 square kilometres, home for 44 species of mammals ranging from elephants, leopards, deer, sambars and sloth bears, giving shelter to 215 species of birds, bordering the Indian Ocean is Yala National park, only smaller to Wilpattu national park.
After the safari return to Galle and you will be dropped at hotel in Galle.
