Itinerary

DAY 1 Airport | Negombo

Welcome to the Isle of Serendipity!

On arrival our chauffeur guide will transfer you to your overnight stay hotel, just 30 mins drive from the airport.

Should you feel up to it, we suggest a tour of the small fishing village of Negombo which consists of many Dutch influenced architectural monuments and churches.

DAY 2 Negombo | Knuckles

Temple in the country

Start your day early and head to the misty mountains of Knuckles.

As you pass through the hill capital of Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which is a prime landmark of Sri Lanka.

Spend your overnight nestled on a picturesque tea plantation with spectacular views of the Knuckles Mountain Range.

DAY 3 Knuckles

This morning pull out your gear for a trek through the Knuckles Mountain Range which has many trails you can choose depending how adventurous you feel today.

No trail is the same and falls through beautiful sceneries of village life, clear water streams, tea plantations and cascading waterfalls. It is ideal for bird watchers as well.

DAY 4 Knuckles | Nuwara Eliya

Today catch the hill country train to Nanu Oya, and experience one of the world’s most scenic train journeys as rated by the National Geographic.

In the evening, explore the small colonial city of Nuwara Eliya, also fondly referred to as the Little England and take a stroll around the Gregory Lake while enjoying the cool breeze.

DAY 5 Nuwara Eliya | Horton Plains

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast and head off to a trek at Horton Plains.

Horton Plains declared as a national park in 1988 is a true paradise to a nature lover. The area is extremely rich in bio-diversity and many endemic flora and fauna thrive in the ideal climate of Horton plains. The best time to visit Horton Plains is between 6 am to 10 am before the mist covers the surrounding trails.

Spend the evening at Leisure, soaking in the cool climate with your favourite holiday read.

DAY 6 Nuwara Eliya | Ella

Hop on a train to Ella, and enjoy the journey through the rolling tea carpets and breathtaking vistas.

DAY 7 Ella | Sinharaja

Make the most of the endless opportunities to explore waterfalls and mountain treks including the Mini Adams Peak, Ravana Falls & Nine Arch Bridge.

Experience an adventurous and breathtakingly scenic drive through the winding estate roads to reach this unique container hotel, the Rainforest Eco Lodge.

DAY 8 Sinharaja

Early morning, engage in a trek through the Rain Forest buffer zone, exploring the many trails recommended with a specialized naturalist guide from the resort.

Frequently sighted species include the endemic purple-faced leaf monkey, torque macaque, giant squirrel, birds such as Ceylon Grey Hornbill, Ceylon Blue Magpie, Ceylon Hanging Parrot, reptiles such as green pit viper, python and hump nosed lizards are frequently sighted.

DAY 9 Sinharaja | Galle | Bentota

After one last early morning trek through the Rain Forest, head over to Galle and stroll through the ancient cobbled streets which will take you back in time to another era.

After lunch, proceed to Bentota, renowned for it’s golden sandy beaches and water sporting activities.
