DAY 1 Airport | Negombo

Arrive at the Colombo International Airport. Meet your chauffeur guide and be transferred to your first stop in Negombo.

Spend the day leisurely and look forward to unveil a fun and adventurous journey in the next few days.

DAY 2 Negombo | Kandy

Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and head to Kandy, the hill capital surrounded by lush green mountain peaks with a soothing cool climate.

Break the journey in Kegalle to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The ideal time to visit is the bathing time when the jumbos are escorted to the Maha Oya River for a clean-up and also to have some fun time with the other fellow elephants. This is a good opportunity to get some clicks on your camera.

Arrive in Kandy. The highlight and most iconic experience here is a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the Sri Dalada Maligawa, which holds a tooth relic of the Ven. Lord Buddha, dating back to 400BCE.

DAY 3 Kandy

In the morning take a drive around the Kandy Lake, then a walk through the local market and if you are up to some shopping for tea and spices here is the ideal place.

DAY 4 Kandy | Bandarawela

After breakfast, drive to Peradeniya station to get on board the train to the tea country.

While being one of the best and most affordable ways to experience the hill country, this slow and rattling journey through the hills, from Kandy to Bandarawela, offers stunning vistas of the tea country and is known to be one of the most scenic train journeys of the world. So sit back and enjoy the charms of the beautiful villages as you pass by.

Arrive in Bandarawela, the green town located amidst lush forestation is considered a center for eco-tourism. Its mild weather throughout the year makes it a perfect location to have a day or two at leisure.

DAY 5 Bandarawela

DAY 6 Bandrawela | Udawalawe

In this cool morning leave to Udawalawe, a popular habitat to witness Sri Lankan Elephants and water birds.

In the afternoon enjoy a safari at Udawalawe National Park. Located in the Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and nourished by the Udawalawe Reservoir, this park provides food and shelter for many wildlife such as wild buffaloes, sambar deer, and crocodiles apart from the large herds of elephants that gaze the grasslands.

DAY 7 Udawalawe

In the morning visit Udawalawe Transit Home. It’s a home where orphaned elephants are rehabilitated and subsequently released back to the wild.

It’s an exciting sight to be during the feeding time where you get see the mischiefs of baby jumbos.

DAY 8 Udawalawe | Galle

Today head off to the historic city of Galle. Step back in time to an era of cobbled streets, walled cities and grand colonial houses as you explore this 18th Century Dutch Fort (UNESCO World Heritage City). This living piece of history will take you to an era where Ceylon was a hub for spice trade along the naval silk route.

En-route stop over at Dondra, the southern tip of Sri Lanka and visit the tallest lighthouse of the country.

DAY 9-10 Galle

Morning is at leisure.

Afternoon go for a walking tour in and around Galle Fort. Take part in a treasure hunt and paint your own mask with your creative artistic talents.

Enjoy dinner at a local home and recollect all the memories you had in this beautiful island as the holiday nears the end.

DAY 11 Galle | Airport
